Irene Madrid, 71, of Trinidad, Colorado, peacefully passed away on April 30, 2018. She was surrounded by her loved ones at Parkview Medical Center.
Irene was born on June 24, 1946, in Trinidad, Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Fidel and Odelia Bueno, her brother/son, Felix Bueno, and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Steve Madrid, and children: Debbie Martinez (Larry), Gary (Maria) Madrid, Bernice (Tom) Martinez, Janette (Ali) Idrees, Catherine (Richard) Hamman, and Marlene (Tatjana) Madrid. Her grandchildren: Vanessa, Thomas, Amber, Ashley, Ryan, Alisha, Angel, Richie, Stephen, Gary, and Troy, and great-grandchildren: Bella, Alexa, Lylah, Bronson, Aurelius, Noah, Ezrio, Benjamin, Adaliyah, Ryan, Devon, Joseph, Isabella, Maleigha, and Camilla. Her siblings: Louie (Mary) Bueno, Isabel (Filbert) Cordova, and sister in law, Priscilla Bueno. Irene leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who will miss her dearly.
Irene was life-long resident of Trinidad, Colorado. Irene was passionate member of Holy Trinity Church, served as a Eucharist minister, and participated as a member of La Confederacion Lodge and Senora de Nuestra De Guadalupe Society. She worked as a preschool teacher, cook, department manager, and homemaker. Irene loved cooking, fishing, watching football, sewing, listening to music and dancing with her life partner of 56 years.
We find comfort in knowing you are no longer in pain and in heaven with our Lord. We love you and will forever hold you close in our hearts. We are thankful to God for being blessed with the gift of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Rosary will be Monday May 14, 2018 at 7PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10AM a Holy Trinity Church.
Inurnment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
