Raton High School is pleased to announce their Outstanding Senior Award Recipients for the Class of 2018, Ms Hallie Medina and Mr. Dustin Segura.
Chosen by RHS faculty, they were asked to think about the last 4 years and to consider academics, extracurricular activities, and overall attitudes toward school, self, and others.
Hallie Medina, daughter of Stevie and Melissa Medina, has participated in Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. She belonged to National Honor Society and served as Chapter Vice President. She has also been involved in Student Senate and this past year and served as Executive President. Hallie plans to attend Colorado State University in Pueblo to major in Occupational Therapy.
Dustin Segura, son of Darrell Segura and Amanda Segura, was a Jr. Rotarian and has participated in football, where he was the starting quarterback and was a starting guard for the basketball team and participated in Tiger baseball and has won many state and district honors over the past 4 years. Dustin plans to attend University of New Mexico to major in Engineering.
