Laurie Jean McMillan, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 25, 2018 at the age of 57.
She was born in Trinidad, Colorado on April 9, 1961, to Laura (Courtney) and John Veltri.
Laurie attended and graduated from Trinidad Catholic High School in 1979.
She attended Trinidad State Jr. College, receiving her degree in nursing.
On April 27, 1985, Laurie was united in marriage to Michael McMillan at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
She was previously employed by Dr. Joe Jimenez and for AADA.
Laurie enjoyed playing the piano and decorating her home.
She had a passion for photography and making pictures.
Laurie loved caring for her animals, Jazzy and Ellie.
Preceding her in death are parents, Laura and John Veltri, sisters Violet Williams and Marilyn James.
Left to cherish her memory is husband of 33 years Michael of home address, daughter Erin McMillan, Otis, CO, sons, Chris (Krysti) McMillan, Castle Rock, CO, Justin McMillan, Castle Rock, CO, grandchildren, Kelbi Schwartz, Kirra Schwartz, sister, Cathy (Dan) Valentine, Pueblo, CO, brother Richard (Sue) Veltri, Co. Springs, CO, numerous in laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated MONDAY, MAY 7, 2018 AT 10AM at Holy Trinity Church.
Inurnment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
