Another windy day for softball but the winds blew in favor of Raton as they coasted to a 25-0 win over Pecos keeping Raton undefeated in district play this season at 8-0.

The Camryns (Mileta and Stoecker) teamed up and put the ball to the outfield fence and brought it around the bases for infield homers. Pecos pitcher Melina Herburger unfortunately struck three batters and added several walks to her outing giving Raton base runners that took the score up to 20 by the end of the first inning. Raton pitcher Crystal Ortiz on the other hand sent seven batters back to the dugout and only allowed two infield hits that were easily fielded for the out.

Raton will stay at home for a Saturday double header with Santa Fe Indian School and finish out the season with a home game against McCurdy on Monday afternoon.
