Joe Gallegos age 64 passed away on February 23, 2018 in Albuquerque. He was born on December 20, 1953 in Ault, CO., to Gonzalo and Cora Struck Gallegos. He was a resident of Raton, a member of St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Church, former Colfax County Commissioner, worked at the NM Boys School and was an Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by two sons, Anthony and Chris Gallegos, both of Alabama, grand-daughter Tristian Gallegos of Alabama, sisters Cora Colomo and husband Matilde of Albuquerque, Mary Lee Atencio, of Taos and Mary Ann Martinez, of Raton. Brothers, James Mascarenas, Frank Macarenas and wife Linda of Raton, NM. Special friends Richard Garcia of Bernalillo, NM and Ruby Perry of Raton, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Memorial Service for Joe Gallegos will be held on Saturday April 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home with Pastor Wilford Carrasco Officiating. Inurnment will be on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Taos, NM Cemetery next to his mother Cora Gallegos.
Arrangements for Joe Gallegos are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
