Beverly Averitt was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 7th, 2018. Beverly was born on November 23, 1943 in Raton, NM. She grew up in Roy, NM and graduated in 1960. Beverly attended Eastern New Mexico University after graduation. She taught one year at the Loretto Academy for Girls and twenty years at St. Michael’s High School both in Santa Fe then over twenty years at Española Valley High School. She was a dedicated member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Roy Unit 33. Beverly dedicated her life to serving others and will be sorely missed. She was 
preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Alberta Celta Mackey.
She is survived by her daughters: Kelly Wilbanks (Larry) of Woodbridge, Virginia; Kerry Sharer (Donald) of Clovis, NM; grandchildren: Caleb Wilbanks and wife Carrie, Jacob Wilbanks, Gabriel Wilbanks, Brigid Sharer and Anthony Sharer, brother: Marlin Mackey and wife Sandy of Santa Fe, NM; sister: Darla Self of Amarillo, TX; great uncle: Oscar “Chame” Kidd of Roy, NM; nieces: Kim Mackey, Lacie Mackey, Brandy Ramirez and husband Mathew and Kim Drury and husband Mark, great-nieces: Payton Ramirez, Tyler Drury and Katrina, nephew, Chris Self, great-niece; Payton Ramirez, Tyler Drury and Katrina Drury, numerous: many other relatives and many, many friends.
Services will be held Saturday, April 14th, Roy Baptist Church at 10:00 in Roy, NM. Interment will follow at the Solano Cemetery in Solano, NM. Donations may be sent to the American Legion Auxiliary c/o Dorothy Hazen, treasurer, P.O. Box 201, Roy, NM 87743.
