NOW IS THE TIME FOR ALL GOOD SPORTSMEN AND CONCERNED CITIZENS TO COME TO THE AID OF THE YELLOW STONE OF NORTHERN NEW MEXICO.
For many years the Citizens of New Mexico have enjoyed the beautiful outdoors in Unit 48, known as the Whites Peak. Our public lands at Whites Peak are at risk. A wealthy landowner wants to close public
access to these God given lands, which many families have memories of homesteading and growing up as as a young child. Many families worked on the saw mills that provided a living for their survival.
If this wealthy landowner succeeds, New Mexicans will be locked out of this beautiful high country that has been part of our of our heritage for so many generations. A few families have loved ones buried in the 41000 acres of this beautiful mountain and may have problems memorializing their loved ones.
The Attorney General’s Office and Mora County are fighting back, to keep this important wild area open to the Citizens. After many years, the case is going to trial. The stakes in this case are very high for anyone who hunts or loves the outdoors. We urge you to please come show your support for the sportsmen and for all New Mexicans. Trial is open to the public and will be at the District Courthouse in Taos, from next Monday the 19th. to Thursday the 29th. starting at 9;00 am each day except on Friday.
Court Trial will be before Judge Sarah Backus at 105 Albright st. #H Taos, NM 87571
