Richard C. Lopez age 67 of Raton passed away Sunday March 4, 2018 in Raton. He is the son of Joe R. and Margaret Martinez Lopez of Springer, N.M.
He was a member of the Raton Elks Lodge, St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, a high school graduate and graduated in 1971 with an Associates Degree in Agriculture from the New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He retired in 2011 with the BNSF railway after 39 years of service as a railroad engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Patricia, brother Roger and uncle Bennie. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline of Raton, his daughter Lisa Lopez and companion Alan of Raton, his son Garrick and wife Valerie Lopez of Maxwell, N.M, Grandchildren Alyssa and Alandra Lopez of LeHigh Acres, Florida
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be Friday March 9th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church recited by Frank Cimino, Jr. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30 A.M. with Father John Brasher as the celebrant. Rite of Christian Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
