Nora Torres, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2018 at the age of 91.
She was born in Delagua, Colorado on May 14, 1926 to Elvira (Trujillo) and Eduardo Yepez.
On April 5, 1948, Nora was united in marriage to John Torres Sr.
Nora enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved being with her children, grandchildren and her special cat “Tiger”.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the La Confederacion Lodge, Senora de Nuestra de Guadalupe Society, and the Union Justicia y Corridad.
Preceding her in death is husband of 52 years John Torres Sr., two sons Bob and Ed, daughter Veronica, six siblings, Nellie Garcia, Jesse Ortiz, Tom Ortiz, Frances Palomino, and Diego and Joe Yepez.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis (Rich) Samora, John Torres Jr, (Mary), Elvira Trujillo, Tom Torres (Floyd Valdez), Matthew (Robin) Torres, 7 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren,, numerous nieces, nephews, several Godchildren including special Goddaughter Edwina Chavez and special granddaughter Deanna Torres.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3PM-6PM at the Comi Chapel.
Rosary will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 7PM at Holy Trinity Church.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church.
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
‘Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren Chris, Marcus, Joseph, Ruben, Kalob, Jeremy and Tyler.
Active pallbearers are grandchildren, Steve, Mel, Joseph, John John, Robert and AJ.
