The girls took to the road to play Tierra Encantada Thursday evening while the Raton boys hosted ATC at home where the home court had its advantages for both teams.
The Lady Tigers ended their season in Santa Fe as Tierra Encantada won the game 65-57 with a lopsided third quarter, out scoring Raton 14-4. The free throw line once again made a difference in the game as Tierra went 18 of 38 attempts and Raton went 13 of 24.

The boys got off to a slow start then both teams took the ball to the basket with Raton coming out on top by two in the first quarter. However it was walk walk walk as Raton turned the ball over several times in the half with ATC making even more of those walking penalties. ATC went to the line only four times while Raton never saw the line during the first half.
Raton came out of the halftime and extended the point spread scoring 22 to 11 over ATC in the third. ATC kept plugging away and brought the score back with in 10 before Raton managed to make the ATC turnovers hurt and kept widening the score until the final buzzer sounded with a 73-51 final.
The boys will travel to Pecos on Saturday to face the undefeated Pecos Panthers at 3:30 pm for the district championship which will be broadcast on KRTN FM 93.9.
