Camilo J. Cordova Jr. was born August 12, 1929, In Springer New Mexico to Camilo J. Cordova Sr. and Orcela Apodaca Cordova.
Camilo passed away February 10, 2018 at the age of 88 in Raton, New Mexico.
Most people knew Camilo as Jr, He worked most of his life as a mechanic and service station attendant for Pendelton Oil Company in Raton.
Camilo served two tours in Korea during the Korean war.
Camilos’ hobbies included hunting, fishing, cookouts with the family and going to the race track.
Camilo is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Julia, brothers, Manuel, Tony, Leonard and Joe. Sisters Alice, Berlinda, Pricilla and Lita. Sons Tony, Richard and infant son Rudy.
He is survived by sons Carlos and wife Yolanda Cordova, Bobby Cordova, Daughter Vera Cordova and companion Rena- Michelle, Sister Gina and Rod Judy, grand daughter Monica. He is also survived by his grand children and great grand children.
Visitation will be Wednesday February 14, 2018 from 4:00 P.M till 6:00 P.M at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will follow at 6:00 P.M at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel recited by Frank Cimino.
Mass of the resurrection will be Thursday February 15, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer with Father John Brasher as the celebrant. Rite of Christian burial will in the Springer Cemetery.
