In Loving Memory of Lorenzo ‘Lencho’ Sanchez

Lorenzo ‘Lencho’ Sanchez age 92 was called to his eternal rest place on January 16, 2018. He was born on December 16, 1925 in Rayado, New Mexico. He was born to Felimon Sanchez and Josefita Aguilar. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Julia Nolan Sanchez and five children. Daughters: Isabel Herrera (Eugene Gonzales), Pauline Garcia (Jesse Martinez), Susan Mondragon (Tom), Emily Serna (Anthony) and son Andrew Sanchez (Lita). 10 Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Also survived by his sister Elsie Nolan and brother Felimon Sanchez Jr (Helen). Sisters-in-laws: Eva Sanchez, Elvira Montoya, Helen Garritson and Lafe Lopez.
Proceeded in death by his Parents Felimon and Josefita Aguliar Sanchez. Brothers: Jim Sanchez (Delia), Max Sanchez , sister Ida Espinosa (Demetrio), numerous other in-laws and son-in-law Filbert Herrera.

SanchezLHe was a man of faith, strong morals, and work ethic. His wife and his family was his pride and joy. He retired from the highway department after 25 years of service.
Lencho loved working with his hands. He did carpentry and mechanic work. He was a skilled hunter and loved driving his tractor. When he wasn’t busy working with heavy equipment, he was always reading and working on puzzles and thinking of his next project. Education was a priority and so was being physically active. His love for sports was inherited by most of his offspring.
He exemplified his life by his humble actions.
If your life crossed with his, you were truly blessed. He was one of a kind.

The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support during the loss of our great man.

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be on February 3rd, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sister Hildegard Parish Hall in Cimarron, NM, recited by Mike Vigil. Solemn Mass of the Resurrection to follow February 3rd, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Father C. John Brasher as the Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Mount View Cemetery.
Services for Lorenzo Lencho Sanchez are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
