Viola Encinias, age 84, died on Monday, January 22, 2018, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Rosary will be recited at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 by Deacon P. Louis Montoya and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. following the Rosary at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Joel Bugas as Celebrant Burial will follow on the Clayton Memorial Cemetery in Clayton, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Viola (Fernandez) Encinias was born on January 15, 1934 in Atencio, New Mexico to Pedro E. “Pete” Fernandez and Clorinda (Gutierrez) Fernandez. She married Paul Encinias on March 7, 1953 in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2002. Viola worked as the house keeping supervisor at the nursing home in Clayton and she owned and operated Viola’s Steam Cleaning business in Clayton for several years. In addition to her husband, Viola was preceded in death her father; Pete Fernandez, mother; Clorinda Marez and step-father; Abel Marez, a son; Michael Encinias on Oct. 24, 2001, A grandson that she raised; Justin B. Richardson on June 27, 2016, a daughter-in-law; Earlene Encinias and a sister; Tina Martinez.

3 DAUGHTERS: Dolores Garcia and Allen Withers of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Melissa and Adon Dominguez and Bernadette and Tommy F. Cruz all of Clayton, New Mexico.
3 SONS: Dario Encinias and Pablo Encinias and his wife Janice all of Dumas, Texas and Ralph Encinias of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Stella Archuleta of Clayton, New Mexico.
2 SISTERS: Bessie Sanchez and her husband Sidney of Raton, New Mexico and Mary Montoya and her husband Leo of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 HALF-BROTHER: Raymond Fernandez of Guymon, Oklahoma.
18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
