Edwin Neil Bush, age 74, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Edwin Neil Bush was born on August 21, 1943 in Clayton, New Mexico to Edwin and Virgie (Adams) Bush. He grew up in Sedan, New Mexico and graduated from Clayton high School in 1961. He married Donna (Dickson) Bush, his high school sweetheart, on February 8, 1961. After graduation, Edwin moved down to Albuquerque to study electrical engineering at the University of New Mexico. Edwin was employed by Sandia Laboratories for several years as a project leader. Edwin later moved to Dalhart and worked as a plant manager for Coon Memorial Hospital. In 1995, Edwin moved back to Albuquerque, where he and Donna renewed their wedding vows the following Valentine’s Day in 1996. Edwin went back to school and received his accounting degree from National American University. Edwin worked as an auditor for the New Mexico Tax and Revenue Department in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. He retired in August of 2005 and they moved back to Clayton. He served as director of the Herzstein Museum for a couple of years. He remained active on the Library Board and served as Vice President. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Stephen Bush.

2 DAUGHTERS: Darla McMain and her husband Henry of Clayton, New Mexico and Debra Schaefer and her husband Jeremie of Edgewood, New Mexico.
1 SISTER: Eva Murdock and her husband Scott of Felt, Oklahoma.
6 GRANDCHILDREN: Brandon Bush, Cara McCain, Stephanie Caron, Robert McCain, Tiffany Caron and Brian McCain.
And five great-grandchildren.
