The Raton varsity girls started off on the cool side of things as they fell behind Pecos early in the game one but soon found a better rhythm to close the game and pull out in front with strong play at the net by Kerrigan Weese, Jadyn Walton and Autumn Archuleta. Raton took over the game as they neared the 20 point spot and made it a 25-20 win in game one.
Game two however was one of those that neither team could fully control and as they neared the midway point it became a game of ties. The Lady Tigers and the Pecos Lady Panthers traded the lead until Raton managed to take a lead at 25-24 and finally got the final point for the 26-24 win.
Game three saw Raton fall behind early but come back to tie the game at 3. The game then went back and forth for a couple of points before Raton’s Ladies at the net started making the points and Raton pulled away for the win leaving Pecos back by eight points.
