Mary Lorenzo Arcangeli was born in Dawson, New Mexico December 21, 1921 to Joe Lorenzo and Laura Dell Croce. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Everni Arcangeli, her parents and ten brothers and sisters.
Mary, a beautiful well-dressed lady, is best remembered as a wonderful, loving and caring mother, sister and friend. She gave special attention to all her grandchildren and loved having them visit. Mary was an excellent cook and loved baking and giving to others at holidays. She had a great eye for color and design and hand stitched several beautiful quilts. Her door was always open and her home was the gathering place for all her relatives and friends.
Mary was employed by the War Dept. Army Air Forces as a Jr. laborer at Ogden Air Service Command in November of 1943. Many remember her voice as the switch board operator in Dawson for Phillips Dodge as well as the desk clerk at the El Portel Hotel, or the kindness she showed working many years as a nurse for Dr. Keil. After retirement Mary enjoyed volunteering at MCMC.
Mary leaves behind two children, a daughter Elaine Marie and husband Jim Wade, a son Everni D. and wife Nancy Arcangeli; four grandchildren – Jackie and husband George Riley, Jimmy and wife Darla Wade, Anna Arcangeli Walsh, David Enrico and wife Elizabeth Arcangeli; ten great grandchildren – Katie Riley, Darcy Riley, James Wade and wife Barbie, Dustin Wade and finance Cassie, Ashley and husband Aaron Gendron, Lorenzo Wade, Josh Walsh and wife Sabrina, Lucas Walsh, Bella Walsh, and Danny Arcangeli; three great, great, grandchildren – Aiden Riley, Mavrick Wade, and Dominic Gendron. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
A woman of class indeed. I have many years of cherished memories that I will hold close at heart. Thoughts n Prayers to her family??Hugs to all???
Mary was a wonderful lady. She will be missed by many. God bless her.
