Edward N. (Sonny) Jeffers age 86 of Springer, NM, passed away Saturday October 7, 2017 in Raton. He was born December 3, 1930 in Springer NM the son of Edward N. Jeffers Sr. and Esther G. Dreher-Jeffers. He was a long time Rancher and a member of the United Methodist Church in Springer and a member of the Maverick Club and the USTRC.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Ann Jeffers and sisters Viola, Dorothy and Shirley. He is survived by one daughter, Fara Garcia and husband Johnny of Springer, four sons, Eddie Jeffers and wife Shirley of Folsom, NM , Lehmer Jeffers and wife Dawn of Gladstone, NM, Joe Jeffers of Springer NM, and Casey Jeffers and wife Gayanne of Cimarron, NM. Sisters Norma Newton of Springer, NM and Connie Allen and husband Billy Gene of Scott City, KS, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday October 13, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Springer with Pastor Chuck Wiggins officiating, burial will be in the Miami Cemetery.
