It took four as Raton’s second game of the match with Clayton Thursday evening seemed to catch the girls in a major slump as they dropped that game 25-16.
Clayton however started the match out on the slow note allowing Raton to take the early lead and run off before ending game one 25-19. Raton created a big lead but slumped a little to allow Clayton to catchup from an 8-point deficit.
In game two of the match Raton simply couldn’t make things gel giving up the point and allowing Clayton to take as much as a 10-point lead in the game. The girls struggled to get the ball to fall in bounds on the spikes while Clayton made it look easy landing the ball in the holes that Raton left open. Game two went to Clayton 25-16.
In game three it was a different story as Raton once again found the rhythm and took off. However partway through the game Raton hit a slump allowing a big lead to dwindle before once again taking control and ending the game at 25-20
Game four saw Raton simply take command of the court and create an early lead that was never really threatened by Clayton with Raton staying up by more than six for most all the game. Raton took the game much like Clayton did game two with a 25-16 win over the Yellowjackettes.
