Edna Faye Jolly, age 84, passed away on September 9, 2017. Edna was born May 22, 1933 in Walsh, Colorado to William C. and Bessie Springer.
On February 23, 1952, she married Thomas W. Jolly. They lived in Pueblo for a few years until moving back east of Aguilar to her childhood home which is now known as the TWJ Ranch where together they raised seven children.
She worked at Verderaime Bakery as a baker for 2 years and the Aguilar Truck Stop Restaurant as a cook for 15 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed making quilts, embroidery and doing cross stitch. She loved to go to the area dances and enjoyed being out with her friends. She enjoyed sitting outside watching the hummingbirds. She also enjoyed watching the snow fall but complained when she had to go out in it. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved all her babies.
Edna is survived by her husband of 65 years, Thomas; two daughters, Jane (Jim) Quartiero, Elizabeth (Jim) Hopper; four sons, Thomas, Jeffrey, Daniel and Clarence Jolly and Daughter-In-Law, Donna (Robert) Jolly; thirteen Grandchildren and nine Great-Grandchildren; twin sister, Elva Springer; four sister-in-laws, Angelina Springer, Lois Springer, Mary Springer and Bessie (Bill) Jolly; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend Bertha Grubelnik.
Preceded in death by her son Robert Jolly, six brothers, Percy, Dwayne, Wilbur, Kenneth, Charles and Harvey Springer, one sister, Elsie Carpenter and her parents.
Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10AM at the Comi Chapel with Mr. Stanley White officiating.
Persons wishing to do so may gather with the family immediately following the service for the inurnment at the TWJ Ranch, Jolly Family Cemetery.
