Marthabelle (Bella) Gonzales, age 92, passed away on August 28, 2017 in Wheatridge, Colorado.
She was born in Bon Carbo, Colorado on June 17, 1925 to Della (Bowman) and Elias Gonzales.
Bella graduated from Trinidad High School.
She retired from American National Insurance.
For 5 years, she volunteered at the Penrose Library in Penrose Colorado.
Bella loved to bowl, read, dance and do crossword puzzles.
Preceding her in death are: husband James Trujillo, parents Elias and Della Gonzales and grandson Jeremy James Martinez.
Survivors are son James Trujillo, Glenwood Springs, CO, daughter in law Kathy Peretto, Phoenix, AZ, daughter Audrey (Jeffrey) Ziegler, Arvada, CO, grandson, James (Trista) Trujillo, Phoenix, AZ, great grandson James Michael Trujillo, Phoenix, AZ, brothers Ray (Rita) Gonzales, Pueblo, CO, Arthur (Ruth Ann) Gonzales, La Junta, CO, numerous nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3PM-7Pm at the Comi Chapel.
Rosary will be recited Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10Am at the Comi Chapel.
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Jeff Ziegler, Jim Trujillo and James P. Trujillo.
