George was preceded in death by his parents, Joe P. Sisneros and Ciria (Guara) Sisneros; brothers: Floyd and Raymond Sisneros; Sisters: Crecensia LeFebre, Piedad Romero and Ethel Salazar.
George is survived by his wife of 60 years, Viola Sisneros, 3 daughters: Olga Neurauter and husband Rick of Raton, Jeanie Ducommun of Raton, and Georgia Henderson and husband Andy of Flowermound, TX; 7 grandchildren, Joshua Ducommun, Christine Neurauter-Fotso, Michael Neurauter, Hayden Ducommun, Megan Neurauter, Colter and McKenzie Henderson; 4 great grandchildren: Aubri, Gio Scarlett and Gabriela.
George is also survived by his 3 brothers: Joe Sisneros Jr. Secundino Sisneros and wife Sherry and Gene Sisneros and wife Janet, all of Raton. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were very special to him.
George was partner and owner of Sisneros Brothers Mine, Sisneros Brother Timber Contractors, Blue Cab Company, Northside Grocery and Sisneros Brothers Gas and Service. He owned and operated the Big 6 Bar for 41 years. He was also involved in farming and ranching during his lifetime.
George was a strong man who instilled his morals and values to his daughters and grandchildren. He loved his westerns, his horses, his John Deere tractor, but his family was his source of happiness. George will be sorely missed, but we know that his reunion with his parents, brothers and sisters will be one of pure joy and happiness.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel. On Monday, August 14, 2017 a prayer service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
A luncheon will be held at the St. Patrick- St. Joseph’s parish hall from 12:00- 3:00 P.M.
