Jess William (Billy) Young of Bountiful, Utah, went to join his brothers and sisters on July 29, 2017.
After graduating from Raton High School in 1948, he joined the army taking his basic training in Ft. Benny, GA. He was sent to Korea where he worked as a mechanic until he was discharged in 1952. He went to work for Wes Kendrick in road construction, He also worked for the Henigan Ranch, until he went to college in Las Cruces, where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering in 1959. He went to work for Sperry Honeywell. Later for Hill Air Force Base. After retiring he started his own business, Young Engineering Services (YES).
He is survived by his wife Sonia of the home, a son Jimmy, daughter Yvonne , sister Jean Mobley and Donna (Harvey) Dallas, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ella (Short) Young, brothers Joseph (Jopy), Jim, Robert (Bobby) and Fred (Butch), sisters Betty Mae Dixon, Carol Rae Gilliam. Brothers in law Nick Gilliam and Bill Mobley.
He will be missed by numerous other relatives and friends.
