Francis Patrick “Rick” Harvey, Jr., age 63, died Monday, July 17, 2017, at his home in Mt. Dora, New Mexico.
There will be a Life Celebration at the Ranch, 233 Kimble Rd, Grenville, NM 88424, on July 29, 2017 at 6:00 PM Central Standard Time. Cremation was by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Francis Patrick “Rick” Harvey Jr. was born in Borger, Texas to Francis Patrick “Pat” Harvey Sr. and Alice VanDerVoort Harvey on February 23, 1954. He graduated Borger High School in 1972 and continued his education by receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science from Texas Tech University in 1976. Rick’s heart’s desire was to be a cowboy and he did it well. He loved being a part of the Poole Family for almost 20 years. His destiny was fulfilled when he moved to Mt. Dora, where he spent the last years of his life doing what he loved. Riding good horses, looking after the cattle, the land, and having his family and friends visiting on the porch while enjoying the vast views were the things he most enjoyed. Home was where his heart was and that was where he met his Savior on July 17, 2017. Rick was proceeded in death by his parents, Pat and Alice Harvey.
SURVIVORS:
He is survived by his wife, Robin, son, Sean and his wife Sandy and their three daughters, of Brock, Texas, daughter, Raechel Harvey Walton and her husband Cody of Clyde, Texas and their two daughters, a son, and another daughter to be born in September. He is also survived by Jaclyn Bell and her son, and Casey and Matt Wills and their son and daughter, all of Joshua, Texas. He is also survived by sister, Laura and her husband Max Evans of Kingwood, Texas, a brother, Jay Harvey and his wife Jeanene Smith of Austin, Texas, and sister, Elise and her husband Ronnie Myers of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
