Bertha E. Gonzales, passed away at home surrounded by her family, on July 3, 2017. She was 92.
She was born in Valdez, Colorado on September 14, 1924, the daughter of Eloisa (Garcia) and Esequiel Arguello.
Bertha loved to cook and care for her family.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting , sewing and playing Seek A Word.
She was also an avid Colorado Rockies Fan.
Bertha was very spiritual and devout woman. She spent much of her time praying.
Preceding her in death are parents, Eloisa and Esequiel Arguello, husband Sam Gonzales, and sisters Elvera Sena and Estella Vigil.
Survivors are children, Sam Gonzales, Denver, CO, Judy Baca, Trinidad, CO, Bernard Gonzales, Trinidad, CO, grandchildren, Maria Baca, Joyce (Jon) Garcia, Cindy
Gonzales, Bernie (Kim) Gonzales Jr., Bernadette Gonzales (Ian) Watermeier, great grandchildren, Andrew Mestas, Madeline Garcia, Brodie Gonzales, Kendall Gonzales, special friend and daughter Linda Barron, numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3PM-7PM at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017 with Rosary at 9AM at the Comi Chapel followed by the Funeral Mass at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church.
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ben Mestas, Ian Watermeier, Bob Gonzales and Salvador Guzman.
Active pallbearers are Bernie Gonzales Jr., Andrew Mestas, Alonzo Mestas, Cindy Gonzales, Jon Garcia and Paul Valdez.

We were attending a funeral for my Aunt Nora Perea in Denver when we heard the bad news. My mom JoAnn Morel had just got out of hospital and is not able to do much at this time as far As travel so she will be with me in Denver till August
