Mary Martinez went home to the Lord on Friday, June 23, 2017.
She was born in Mills, NM on November 26, 1929.
She is survived by her two brothers, Pedro Montoya and wife, Margaret, and Cecil Montoya and wife, Effie; and seven children, Leo Martinez and wife Yong of Colorado Springs, CO, Celina DeAguero and husband Arturo of Bernalillo, NM, Cecilia Aragon of Englewood, CO, Josephine Gallegos of Castle Rock, CO, Marcella Martinez of Albuquerque, NM, Edward Martinez and wife Amelia of Bernalillo, NM, and Virginia Montoya and husband Dominic of Algodones, NM. She was blessed with sixteen grandchildren; Rebecca and husband Henry, Lena and husband Mark, Salomón and wife Selena, Daniel, Layla, Anitra, Mark, Steven and wife Tracy, Angelina and husband Dustin, Erika, Michael, Elicia and partner Marian, Kristina and husband Dwayne, David and partner Adriana, Leona, and Analisa; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren, Matthew, Samantha, Alex, Stephen, Anthony, Dominique, Quentin, Savannah, Mia, Derek, Maya, Alyssa, Aiyanna, Alexis, Antonio, Adrian, Damien, Arianna, Noah, Suchel, Danica, Evangeline, Isaiah, Liliana, David, Isaac, and Penelope.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leo of 63 years; her parents, Jose Francisco and Carlota Montoya; her brothers, Raymond and Felix; and her sisters, Dora, Celina, and Frances. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all.
Viewing will take place from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday, June 30, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer, NM. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be at 10:00 A.M followed by the Solemn Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer, NM. Rite of committal and internment will follow at the Springer Cemetery.
