Marilyn L. Palovich, age 74, passed away on May 5, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She was born on April 24, 1943, to Mary (Swigle) and Leon Swift.
She attended area schools, graduating from Trinidad High School in 1961.
Marilyn attended TSJC and Adams State College receiving her Masters Degree in Education.
She taught in various area schools including Rice and Park Streeta career that lasted for 35 years until her retirement.
On June 6, 1964, she was united in marriage to Joe “Sonny” Palovich at Holy Trinity Church in Trinidad, Colorado,.
She was a people person and loved caring for everyone’s needs.
Marilyn loved tending to her yard and caring for her flowers and beautiful roses.
Preceding her in death are parents, Mary and Leon Swift, husband Joe “Sonny” Palovich, brother Jack Swift and sister in law Dorothy Swift.
Survivors are son Chad (Christy) Palovich, Colorado Springs, daughter Milena Jo Palovich, Trinidad siblings Pastor Virgil (Lorraine) Swift, Oklahoma Carolyn Swift, Canon City, Pastor Robert Swift, Pueblo, grandchildren, Brytanni Hawkins, Joseph Palovich, Garrett Hawkins, Jon Palovich, numerous nieces, nephews , other relatives and many dear friends and colleagues, and extended family at the LACRC.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10AM at the First Christian Church with Marilyn’s brothers, Pastor Virgil Swift and Pastor Robert Swift officiating.
Private inurnment at a later date.
