Janice Lynn Shew age 65, passed away May 4, 2017 at Mt. San Rafael Hospital.
She was born in Trinidad, Colorado on August 17, 1951 to Rae (Holmes) and Bert Bulson.
Jan attended area schools graduating from Trinidad High School in 1969.
She then attended TSJC for 2 years.
On September 18, 1976, Jan was united in marriage to Franklin P. Shew in Trinidad, Colorado
Jan was employed as Clerk of the Municipal Court and worked as Clerk in the Trinidad Utilities Department until her retirement.
She loved serving the public and taking care of her customers.
She enjoyed making arts and crafts.
Jan loved caring and spoiling her grandchildren.
She will be missed by many.
Preceding her in death are parents, Rae and Bert Bulson, son Robert P. Shew , mother and father in law Lena C. and Franklin W. Shew and sister in law, Margaret Rose Vallejos.
Survivors are husband Franklin of home address, children, Christian Wyatt Shew, Trinidad Erin (Steven) Vigil, Midland, TX, Nicholas (Cindy) Shew, Trinidad, grandchildren, Leon ,McKenna, Cheyenne, Adriann, Dante, Isabella, brother Jim (Mary) Bulson, sister Jacque (Keith) Gipson, brothers and sisters in law Dan Shew, Kenny (Joy) Shew, Bob (Judy) Shew, Barbara (David) Maraz , Gilbert Vallejos, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends including special friends, Ida and Robert Ortiz and Earl Hurley and her dog, Tink.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10AM at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Andrea Doden officiating.
Private inurnment at a later date.
