Sam I. Borrego Sr., age 69, passed away on April 5, 2017 in Pueblo, CO.
For years, Sam was employed at the Allen Mine, worked for the railroad and also J&M Tire.
He did landscaping, and working on cars until becoming disabled due to a back injury.
Sam’s hobbies included drawing, fishing and working in the yard.
He loved the outdoors.
Sam was an avid Denver Broncos fan and loved to watch them, He was so excited win or lose as that was his team.
He also loved spending time with his family, who was very important to him.
Preceding him in death is father Manuel Borrego, grandparents Grace and Manuel Eurioste, mother of his children, Priscilla Borrego, infant daughter Mary Gayleen, granddaughters, Shante and Portia Borrego, nephew Bill Gettler and numerous other relatives.
Sam is survived by his mother Jennie Herman, daughter Barbara (Luis) Fernandez, Jerry (Norma) Borrego, Sam Borrego Jr., grandchildren, Tracy, Gilbert, Joshua, Brian, Celeste, Chris, Jacob, Adrian and Anthony, sisters Linda Cordesco, Prudence (John) Medina, CeCe (Mike) Rall, Shirley (Mark) Stanley, numerous family and many dear friends.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 25, 2017 with Rosary at 9AM at the Comi Chapel followed by the Funeral Mass at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church.
Private inurnment at a later date.
