Both the Lady Tigers and Tigers took district wins Saturday as they easily toppled schools from Santa Fe in double header games.

The Lady tigers struggled some in game one of their double header taking seven innings to pull it out 11-7. The Lady Tigers had the early lead and was up by three when the Lady Jaguars scored two in the fourth. Raton then put three over the plate in the forth and fifth innings with two more coming in the sixth. The Lady Jags threatened with a five run rally in the sixth to close the gap. A three up and three down in the seventh secured the win for Raton as freshman pitcher Crystal Ortiz had one strikeout and the out field took care of the other two fly balls.

In game two of the double header Raton took the early lead and never looked back as they pulled this game out 14-4.

The Tigers usually finishing games after the girls, shortened this one to five innings and put the first game 13-0 in the books with Dillon Lemons going the distant for the Tigers. Game two was also a five inning game as Raton racked up the points in the third inning with 13, making it a 17-0 game at that point. Jonathan Cabriales took the win for the Tigers.
