Jennie F. Duran, 95, of Trinidad, passed away in her home on Sunday, February 5, 2017.
Jennie was born in Primero, Colorado to Trinidad and Pedro Jimenez.
She lived in Aguilar for many years and moved to Trinidad soon after the death of her husband. In earlier years, she was often seen walking the foothills around Aguilar and later walking to town in Trinidad. She was quick to help others in need and remained strongly independent.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Duran; her daughter, Ruby Joy Duran-Maez; her son Joseph R. Duran and grandson Keith D. Cozzette.
She is survived by children, Tom (Janet), David (Kaaren), Bernadine, Rose (Richard) Cozzette, Larry (Roma), Phillip and Dorothy; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and her beloved niece, Marcia (Bob) Robinson. Also her sister, Ramona Hall; in-laws, Rosella and Evelyn Jimenez, Alfred and Richard Duran, and Violet Alvarado.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, February 23rd at 1 PM at Comi Funeral Home.
