Alfred C. Laumbach, age 96, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 in Clayton, New Mexico.
Rosary was recited at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 6, 2017, following the Rosary Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Roy, New Mexico. Fr. Terry Brennan was the Celebrant. Burial followed in the Laumbach Family Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Alfred Conrad Laumbach, Sr. was born on March 28, 1920, in La Cinta Canyon, San Miguel County, New Mexico to Pete Laumbach and Fidelia (Andrada) Laumbach. A life long resident of the Roy community, he was baptized in the Presbyterian Church in 1930 and graduated from Roy High School in 1938. Alfred married Eleanor M. (DeHerrera) Laumbach on November 19, 1945 at St. Joseph Parish in Mosquero, New Mexico and she preceded him in death on July 3, 2010. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Roy, New Mexico. In addition to his wife and parents, Alfred was preceded in death by 5 children, Virginia Laumbach, Steven Laumbach and John Laumbach all as infants, Frances Chavez on June 23, 2008 and Alfred Laumbach, Jr. on March 2, 2015, by 2 grandsons, Steven Michael Monreal on October 10, 2002 and Vincent James Monreal on January 17, 2007.

5 DAUGHTERS: Lucille Gonzales and her husband Jimmy of Amarillo, Texas, Christina Laumbach of New Zealand, Elizabeth Trujillo and her husband Joseph of Taos, New Mexico, Rose Monreal and her husband Steve of Sterling City, Texas and Petra Laumbach of Roy, New Mexico.
5 SONS: Enrique Laumbach and his wife Mary and Pedro Laumbach and his wife Lillian all of Roy, New Mexico, Michael Laumbach and his wife Sharla of Amistad, New Mexico, Ralph Laumbach and his wife Liz of Portales, New Mexico and Andrew Laumbach of Clayton, New Mexico.
