Vincent Elias Martinez, age 91, went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2017.
He was born in Tercio, CO on September 7, 1925 .
He proudly served his country in the United State Navy from 1944-1946 on the USS Nashville.
Vincent was best known for his contagious laugh and whistle.
Preceding him in death is daughter Elsie JoAnn Munoz, wife Frances T. Martinez, and special companion Ruby Sanchez.
Vincent is survived by children, Ralph Martinez, Louie (Sharon) Martinez, Judi (Tom) Blan, Sandy (Joe) Perea, Anthony Martinez, Laura Trujillo, Phillip (Pam) Martinez, 30 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, brothers, Ernesto (Alma) Martinez, Edwardo Martinez, sister Emilia Martinez, step children, nieces, nephews , other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday from 3PM-7PM at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10AM at Baptist Bible Church.
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by US Naval Honor Guard.
Active pallbearers are, Louie Martinez, Nick Martinez, Anthony Martinez, Justin Reynolds, Michael Garcia and Adrian Perea.
