In Loving Memory of Robert Crumpton

Robert Crumpton, age 80, died Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at his home in Clayton, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Terrell Jones, pastor of the Trinity Fellowship Church in Clayton, officiating. Burial will follow in the Texline Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

crumpton rRobert Crumpton was born on August 21, 1936 in Texline, Texas to Archie Victor Crumpton, Sr. and Gladys Eugene (Mathis) Crumpton. He married Vera (Fones) Crumpton on November 10, 1954 in Clayton, New Mexico. Robert did electrical and worked for South Western Electric Coop in Clayton for 9 years before starting his own business Crumpton Pump and Well Service in 1973. Robert loved his work, he loved working on windmills and visiting with all of his customers. He enjoyed his rose garden and he always enjoyed taking care of his yard. Robert had a great love for animals, when he was not working he was always carrying one of their dogs or feeding the birds in the backyard. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by 4 sisters; Archie May Wyatt, Dorothy Wade, Lela Evans and Betty Damon, 3 brothers; Glen Dale Crumpton, Eldon Crumpton & Archie Victor Crumpton, Jr.

SURVIVORS:

WIFE: Vera Crumpton of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 DAUGHTER: Deborah Owen of Amarillo, Texas.

3 SONS: George Crumpton and his wife Eunice of Dumas, Texas, Glen Crumpton and his wife Cheryl of Cheyenne, Wyoming and David Crumpton and his wife Anna of Trophy Club, Texas.

7 GRANDCHILDREN: Melissa, Michael, Mark, Nichole, Amber, Jason and Janna.

6 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Caleigh, Jacob, Autumn, Memphis, Talynn and Jack.

And numerous nieces and nephews.
