James E. Cook, affectionately known as Jim Bob, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 21, 2017. He was 73.
He was born in Fredericksburg, Maryland on May 10, 1943 to Mona J. (Bonnell) and Raymond E. Cook.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict.
On May 20, 2000, he was united in marriage to Juanita M. Trujillo, in Trinidad, CO.
He owned and operated Jim’s Plumbing for several years until his retirement. He loved the outdoors and was an avid bow hunter and fisherman.
Survivors are his wife Juanita of home address, son Pat (Jessica) Cook, Florida, daughters Alesha Cook, Trinidad, Louise (Kenny) Zilkanich, of West Virginia, Loretta (Robbie) Hilling, West Virginia, grandchildren, Emily, Joey, Jasmine, Allanah, Marcus, Jasper, sisters and brothers-in-law, Maria Sotelo, Denver, Cicilia Huckabay, Pueblo, Linda Lucero (Ralph Vigil) Pueblo, Rita (Hector) Sotelo, Denver, Charles (Rose) Trujillo, Pueblo, Gilbert (Trish) Trujillo, Pueblo, Thomas (Lucille) Trujillo, Trinidad, David (Cheryl) Rivera, Colorado Springs, Johnny Rivera Trinidad, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved dog Pookey.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2017 from Noon-5PM at the Comi Chapel.
Cremation will follow and private family services to be held at a later date.
