NM State Police Investigate Fatal Crash in Colfax County
Raton, NM – On Saturday, January 14, 2017 at around 3:00 p.m. New Mexico State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers investigated a fatal crash involving a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) on Interstate 25 at mile marker 453, near Raton, NM.
The initial investigation indicated at approximately mile marker 453 a CMV traveling southbound exited the roadway and impacted a guard rail on the right shoulder of the roadway causing the vehicle to roll into its side. The driver of the CMV, Michael Brad Arrington (38) of Duncan, OK, sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Southbound traffic was rerouted to exit 454 thru Raton while the accident scene was cleaned up.
This crash remains under investigation.
