In Loving Memory of Rose Marie (Mattorano) Gutierrez

Rose Marie (Mattorano) Gutierrez, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Trinidad, surrounded by her loving family , on December 27, 2016.
She was born in Raton, New Mexico on December 1. 1934, to Annie (Paradiso) and James Mattorano.
Rose was employed as a CNA at Mt.San Rafael Hospital and Trinidad State Nursing Home for many years until her retirement.
On February 14, 1959, Rose was united in marriage to Fidel Gutierrez.
She liked to read scriptures, work crossword puzzles and take walks. Her family was her first priority and she loved playing with her grandchildren. Rose spent a lot of her time reminiscing with family and friends about her childhood memories. She loved life. Her kindness and love will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding her in death are parents, Annie and James Mattorano , husband Felix Gutierrez, sister Loretta Hinchley, brother Alfonso Mattorano and niece Tara Ray.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Russell Gutierrez, Trinidad, Arlene (Rudolph) Fuentes, Trinidad, Mitchell Gutierrez, Louisville, CO, siblings Theresa (Tony) Mincic, Vince Mattorano, Tony (Cathy) Mattorano, Emilio (Dorothy) Mattorano, Peggy (John) Blatnick, Frank (Bernadette) Mattorano, grandchildren, great grandchildren, several brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday ,from 3PM-7PM at the Comi Chapel.
Rosary will be Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 7PM at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10AM at Sebastiani Gym.
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Andres Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez Jr., Justin Hernandez, Troy Gutierrez, Vernon Sanchez Jr. and Marco Mattorano.
Active pallbearers are Dustin Hernandez, Matthew Mattorano, Nicholas Mattorano, Chad Hinchley, Billy Mattorano and Brandon Encinias.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rose’s memory in care of Arlene Fuentes, 13587 Co. Rd. 26.4, Trinidad, CO. 81082.
Funds will be distributed to Rose’s favorite charities.
