Ronald James Guthrie, age 48, died Sunday, December 18, 2016 in Clayton, New Mexico.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Clayton Gospel Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Pastor Mike Phipps, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Ronald James Guthrie was born on March 2, 1968 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He attended school at Bainbridge Elementary, Elizabeth Town Middle School, Conestoga Valley High School and at Butler County Community College. Ronald worked in Retail Management for major cooperation’s and worked for the state of New Mexico Highway Department and earned a CDL.
Ronald enjoyed camping at Pinchot Lake, fishing, sledding, watching football especially the Steelers and Oklahoma Sooners and playing horseshoes. Enjoyed talking about any kind of sports, having backyard cookouts, spontaneous trips to Pennsylvania and hanging out with the guys. Ronald made sure none of the electronics in our house were dinosaurs and hated water but had two boats. He strove for everything offered in life and always wanted to be with all of his family in both Pennsylvania and New Mexico at the same time.
Ronald is survived by his wife; Jessica Guthrie, 2 daughters; Brittany Nicole Mann and Stephanie Lynn Guthrie, 1 son; Austin James Guthrie, a grandson; Kaleb Floriani, his birth mother Vicki Diem Painter and her husband Barry Diem, his dad and mom; Ray and Gloria Guthrie, mother-in-law; Vicky Swafford, father-in-law; Warren Swafford, 2 brothers; Andrew Guthrie and his wife Jennifer and Daniel Diem, 1 sister; Dusty Diem, step-sister; Lisa Gelembiuk and her husband Art, brother-in-law; Jason Swafford, aunts and uncles; Pat Gilmer, Melvin Gilmer, Jim Painter, Ruth Thomas and Linda Stalnecker, nieces; Emily Guthrie, Allison Guthrie and Akaya Diem, nephews; Zachary Henley, Trevor Henley and Nicholas Henley, cousins; Robert Gilmer, Howard Stalnecker, Melanie Gilmer, Mike Stalnecker, Patrick Gilmer, Jimmy Stalnecker, Jaime Painter, Jennifer Stalnecker, John Leferve, Ramona Eberly, Matthew Leferve and Matthew Stalnecker and many other family, friends and loved ones.
