Four students from Raton High School traveled to the Buffalo Thunder Convention Center on November 14, 2016 to participate in the YES! Youth Entrepreneurship Summit. Tori-Anne Platero, Stacie Patterson, Kailie Village Center and Gage Schaap were among the 300+ Native American students from around New Mexico that attended this year’s YES! event.
The summit is an initiative of the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development organization which is designed for Native high school and college-aged students interested in business and entrepreneurship. The event encourages students to hone their skills and learn more about what it takes to become successful in business. YES! Participants learn from accomplished entrepreneurs about the strategies, skills and best practices that have helped them reach their business dreams.
