RHS Robotics Rocks Again

RHS Robotics Team GRRT traveled on Saturday, Oct 22 to TSJC and  took the 2016 BEST Robotics Championship themed “Bet the Farm”.  Sponsored through SoCo Best @ Trinidad State Junior College, the RHS Robotics Team GRRT was awarded:

A team from Raton, made up of 7^th through 11^th graders, dominated this year.  The Raton team took home first place trophies in four of the seven categories. Two teams qualified for the regional BEST competition to be held December 2 and 3 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  They are Raton and Manzanola.

The team will be representing Raton and our Hub Southern Colorado BEST of TSJC at Regional Competition in Ft. Smith, Ark. again this year.

GRRT is working on a fundraising schedule, and although they have a treasury,  the team has grown larger.  They will need to ask our generous and supportive community for support in the next 3 weeks to help them continue our commitment to work our BEST and will be on KRTN’s “This, That and the Other” as soon as we have clear details.
