Nick Mincic passed away on September 25, 2016 in Houston Texas after a long series of medical issues.
He was born Joseph Nicholas Mincic in Model, Colorado on December 6, 1933. He is the son of Vasili Mincic and Elizabeth Potre Mincic.
Nick served as a supply clerk in the Army from April 1956 to February 1958. Nick retired from Safeway Grocery Stores after 38 years of service.
He was married to Lenore Marie Falsetto on June 11, 1960. They lived in Trinidad until April of 2015 when they relocated to Katy, Texas to live in a lower altitude.
Nick was a hardworking man. He always had the most beautiful garden; every year he was very proud of his peach trees. He was a handy man and carpenter and enjoyed working hand in hand with his brothers. He loved to fish. His favorite sport was baseball. He could watch baseball for hours and tell you which teams or players to watch for. He also really enjoyed watching those Denver Broncos.
He wasn’t a man of many words, but the words he did use were profound and forever remembered in his families’ minds. Oh, he loved his family tremendously. Nick was always kind and loving. Never uttered an unkind word. Even through the hospital stays he would always thank his nurses.
He always had witty sayings. His favorite was “Good Show” or “best to you each morning”. He always brought a smile to someone’s face or made you feel at ease just by sitting with him. His calm loving demeanor set an example for how we should all live our lives.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Vasili & Elizabeth Mincic, his brothers Chuck, Lee and John Mincic and sisters-in-law Louise and Rosemarie Mincic.
