The varsity Lady Tigers didn’t have one of their best matches Saturday night as they struggled at times getting the ball over the net as several hits fell short of their intended targets on the other side of the net. Cimarron however took early leads in most of the games forcing Raton to play catch up which they were able to do in two of the games. It was the tie breaker that Raton took the lead early on and kept it until the final ball fell out of bounds for the win.
At other times the girl’s hits went long and out of bounds near the back of the court. At times Cimarron struggled making good passes while other times they made it look easy as they set the ball and made the spike over the net. Other times both teams simply kept the ball moving with extended volleys making several trips over the net.
