Joe E. Montoya age 79, passed away on September 12, 2016 in Albuquerque.
He was born March 19, 1937 in Wagon Mound, NM to the late Eduardo and Lidia Montoya. He was a resident of Springer, NM.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springers, Chamber of Commerce, Springer Fire Department, Springer School Board of Education, he was Deacon of the First Baptist Church Community Choir and New Mexico Boys School Song Leader.
He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Montoya.
Survivors include his daughter Patricia White, Springer, sons Steve Montoya, Springer, Tim Montoya and wife Melissa (Dol), Albuquerque, Daniel Montoya of West Covina, California, sisters Olivia Greenmun, Estella Valverde and Rebecca Medina, brothers Benjamin and Felix Montoya all of Albuquerque, grandchildren Raymond and Jasmya White of Las Cruses, NM, Cameron Montoya, Albuquerque, two great grandchildren Savannah and Sophia White.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10:30 am at the First Baptist Church in Springer. Interment will follow at the Springer Cemetery.
