Richard W. Pepin (Dick) , “A MIGHTY RULER” passed away on June 24, 2016 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, CO. He was 77.
He was born in Escanaba, Michigan on February 7, 1939 to Ann Margaret (Hubert) and Victor J. Pepin.
Dick was employed by the Ford Motor Company for many years until his retirement.
Richard loved all of his family dearly. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. He was ALWAYS willing to lend a hand on many occasions.
He was an avid fisherman and shared his wisdom of fishing with his grandchildren, and friends. He always loved bragging about his grandchildren. Dick’s last wish was to be able to fish again.
He loved animals and enjoyed feeding his birds and his family’s dogs. His favorite past time was placing horseracing bets online, which he was quite good at. When his health was good, Dick enjoyed traveling and made one hundred or more trips to Monument Lake while residing in Trinidad.
Richard was a man of strong Catholic faith and loved and lived his religion to the fullest. He is now with the Lord,, enjoying eternity in peace.
Preceding him in death is father, Victor J. Pepin Sr. mother Ann, son Michael Pepin, sister Nancy and brothers Kenneth and Keith.
Survivors are daughters Shelly A. Ellis Pepin, Trinidad, CO, Deborah L. Pepin Winford, Evergreen, CO, sons in law, Michael E. Ellis Sr. Trinidad, CO, Hal Winford, Evergreen, CO., grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Ellis Jr., Wellington CO, Rebecca A. Pepin, Trinidad, CO, Jason (Kimberly) Winford Lochbuie, CO, Miles R. Winford, Evergreen, CO, Michelle L.A. (Joe) Scherbarth, Rushville, Nebraska, Mitchell R. Ellis, Trinidad, Ryan Winford, Evergreen, CO, Michael G. (Monique) Saiz, Cheyenne, WY., Christopher T. Madrid of Wellington, Co, great granddaughters, Kailyn, Kennedy and Anastasia, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday July 1, 2016 from 10:30AM-12:30PM at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Mass will follow at 1PM at Sebastiani Gym.
Active pallbearers are Michael Ellis Sr., Michael Ellis Jr., Jason Winford, Miles R. Winford, Mitchell R. Ellis and Ryan Winford.
