Clyde Russell Baquet, of Model, CO, passed away at home on May 17, 2016 at the age of 86.
He was born in Versalles MO, on February 3, 1930 to Edna Mae (Kennedy) and Coy Omar Baquet.
He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict era at Ft. Belvoir, VA.
He was employed as the superintendent of sub contractors, hired by large companies for various architectural firms, building many well known high rise buildings that were constructed in the sixties and seventies.
Clyde was united in marriage to Diane M. Kissel on August 2, 1977 in Las Vegas, NV.
He loved animals, farming and ranching.
Clyde was a people person who never knew a stranger . He also was a man of strong conviction and faith who loved the Lord and enjoyed sharing his beliefs with his many friends.
His special twinkle in his eye and ever present smile will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceding him in death are parents, Edna and Coy, sister Evelyn Vernon, and brother Calvin Dwight Baquet.
Survivors are wife Diane of home address, children, James Russell (Ojen) Baquet, Afghanistan, Tanya Anderson, Tuscon. Bryan Baquet, Trinidad, Marilynn Baquet, Trinidad, grandchildren, Tiana, Tara, Layla, Laura, Tina, Jennifer, Rebekah, Mindy, Jaime, Jessica, Miranda, and Jeziel, numerous great grandchildren , sisters Elizabeth (Gene) Isaac, Tuscon, Wanda Jane (R.J.) Thompson, Jefferson City, MO, several nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in laws and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, at the Comi Chapel from 5PM-8PM.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11AM at the Bible Baptist Church, 1102 Stonewall Ave. with Pastor Andy Ohman officiating.
Military Honors conducted by Ft. Carson Honor Guard.
Private inurnment services at a later date.
