The Raton Tigers golf teams traveled to play in their district tournament in Tucumcari, NM on May 2nd. It was a 9:00am tee time that had the morning chill in the air but otherwise perfect weather for golfing. Raton Tiger’s Jason Parker outdueled his foes in the district that included, Robertson, Taos, Tucumcari, Springer and West Las Vegas to win the individual title and be crowned district champion.
The results were as follows.

Johnny Gentry and Clayton Adams also participated for the Raton boys and shot a 103 & 108 respectively.
On the girls side Raton took three competitors in Sydni Silva, Cherokee Valdez, & Celeste Rahamut. The best finisher for the girls was Sydni Silva who battled with the Taos #1 golfer through 18 holes to come up short one shot of getting into a playoff for the district championship. The results were as follows.
