Edna Ruth Di Lisio age 93 of Raton, NM, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Raton.
She was born March 26, 1923 in Telluride, CO, the daughter of Swan and Hildur Anderson-Swanson.
Ruth had worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the Albany Hotel in Denver, CO and the Yucca Hotel in Raton. She was a member of the MCMC Auxiliary, the Girl Scouts and St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Thomas Di Lisio Jr., son Joseph Thomas Di Lisio III, sister Judith Glasier and brother Herman Swanson.
Ruth is survived by four daughters, Wilma Jo McNamara and husband Tom of Milwaukee, WI. Mary Jean Wharton and husband Steve of Trinidad, CO, Elizabeth Ann Dobby and husband John of Wheaton, Ill and Christine Marie Morris and husband Mark of Raton. Five sons, Thomas Charles Di Lisio of Raton, Joseph Gregory Di Lisio of Raton, James Sven Di Lisio and wife Melea of Canyon City, CO, Timothy Carey Di Lisio and wife Michelle of Buffalo, KS and Mark Damian Di Lisio and wife Nancy Jane of Concord, CA.
A public memorial service will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 from 10 am – 2 pm at The St Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Parish Hall in Raton.
In lieu of food and flowers please make donations to the MCMC Auxiliary.
