Steven Nick Vigil, age 79, died Friday, March 11, 2016 at his home in Clayton, New Mexico.
Rosary was recited at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 13, 2016 by Deacon P. Louis Montoya and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 14, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton with Fr. Joel Bugas as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Steven Nick Vigil was born on August 3, 1936 in Clayton, New Mexico, to Lorenzo Pedro Vigil and Cornelia (Padilla) Vigil. He married Margaret Georgia (Blan) Vigil on June 7, 1956, in Clayton, New Mexico and she preceded him in death on August 5, 2005. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 daughter as an infant, 2 sons, Joseph Vigil and Ronnie Vigil and a brother; Herman Rosendo Vigil.

2 DAUGHTERS: Sofie Lucero and her husband Phil of Clayton, New Mexico and Susie Lerma and her husband Mario of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
2 SONS: Lawrence Vigil and his wife Betty Jo and Edward Vigil all of Clayton, New Mexico.
11 Grandchildren: Jessica Sandoval and her husband Sal, Phil Lucero, Jr, Edward Vigil, Jr and his wife April, Ricky Lucero, Annette Austin and her husband Dwayne, Jon Sanchez, Terra Wynn and her husband Jon, Jolene Vigil, Abigayle Vigil, Devin Vigil and Alex Vigil.
16 Great-Grandchildren: Antonio Lucero, Jasmine Sanchez, Isaiah Lucero, Naomi Padilla, Gabriella Sandoval, Ayden Vigil, Jerome Padilla, Issac Lucero, Daniella Sandoval, Nathan Lucero, Ava Vigil, Isabella Sandoval, Addison Lucero, Bryce Vigil, Benjamin Austin and Derrick Lucero.
1 SISTER: Georgia Sanchez of Aztec, New Mexico.
1 BROTHER: Higinio Vigil and his wife Margaret of Clayton, New Mexico.
