In Loving Memory of Theresa C. Duran

Theresa C. Duran of Weston, CO, passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2016 in Westminster, CO. She was 89.

 

She was born in Tercio, CO on September 13, 1926 , the daughter of Matilda and Cruz Gutierrez.

 

She attended Primero School graduating in 1934.

 

On April 4, 1947, Theresa was united in marriage to Henry Gilbert Duran at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton, NM.

Together with her husband, she liked to follow the Primero sport teams.
She was Title Clerk for the Las Animas County Clerk and Recorder Office for 22 years until her retirement.

Theresa loved outdoor activities and caring for her flowers and lawn.

Preceding her in death are parents, Matilda and Cruz, husband Gilbert Duran, and son-in-law John Vigil.

Survivors are children, Cynthia Vigil, Westminster, CO, Harvey (Patty) Duran, Vallejo CA, Melvin Duran, Denver CO, grandchildren, Evette Vigil, Brandon Vigil, Derek Duran, Bradley (Andrea) Duran, Jenna Duran, great grandchildren, Brittany Beal, Michaek Beal, Raenah Duran, Ava Duran,, Lucca Duran, Xavier Duran, Andrew Santistevan, Bella Bellecia Holguin and Carlos Holguin Jr. Several sisters and brothers in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

 

 

Visitation will be Sunday, February 28th from 2PM-7PM at the Comi Chapel.

Funeral Services will be Monday, February 29, 2016 with Rosary at 9AM at Comi Funeral Home Chapel.

 

Funeral Mass will follow at 10Am at Sebastiani Gym.

Following services, cremation with private inurnment at a later date.

Active pallbearers are Derek R. Duran, Brad Duran, Brandon Vigil, Eddie Roybal, Chuck Gutierrez and Xavier Duran.
