Jay W. Howe, 91, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in Trinidad, Colo.
Jay was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1924. He served honorably in World War II and was stationed in the Philippines where he met and married Pining Garcia, his wife of over 67 years.
Jay was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He owned and operated radio station KRTN in Raton, NM in the 1960’s and later became an admired math, science, and engineering instructor at Trinidad State Junior College where he retired after 20 years.
Jay is survived by son David (Christina) Howe, son Robert (Joanie) Howe, and daughter Carol (Kent) Barker. He also leaves eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, who passed away 1 year ago.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home of Trinidad, CO. At the family’s request, no public service will be held. Flowers gratefully declined.
