Max L. Ortiz age 85 of Raton passed away on January 29, 2016. He was born on May 21, 1930 in Miami, NM to the late Nerio and Eloisa Ortiz.
Max is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rosie Ortiz, daughter Angie Marie Ortiz, and one son Ernie Ortiz.
He is survived by daughters: Margaret Vigil of Canyon City, CO; Patsy Ortega of Raton, Maria Romero of Raton, Ana Segura (Danny) of Raton, Tanya Ortiz of Raton, sons: Ned Ortiz (Mary) of Alaska, Max Jaramillo (Tina) of Raton, Fernando Ortiz (Latitia) of Albuquerque.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements for Max L. Ortiz are under the direction of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
Max was one of the most gentle, loving persons that we have ever known. His integrity and humility were truly a gift. The life’s this wonderful man touched will not be forgotten. Looking forward to seeing my dear brother in the resurrection. No more tears or pain or death. May the peace that excels all things be with the family. Love you all.
